About the Photographer.... .gif)
I grew up in Ayrshire and moved to Glasgow in my
twenties. Prior to taking up photography, I trained
and worked as a Registered General Nurse for
over twenty years.
Animals have always been a great love of mine
and following an NC & HND Course on Professional
Photography & Digital Imaging, I decided recently
to combine the two and start up my own pet and
animal photography business.
My personal preference for doing location work, as
opposed to studio sessions, stems from trying and
testing all the options and preferring the results
from location work. Animals always seem to be
more relaxed in a familiar setting / surroundings.
It also gives me the opportunity to choose natural
lighting and get some interesting action shots -
giving a more diverse selection for you to choose
from. I do not photograph any animals in
costumes or wearing props as their wellbeing
comes first and foremost.
